I was once at a event in Britain and there were many children. There were many athletes and celebrities and they were all signing autographs. I am not joking he stayed 1 hour longer than the others to be sure that every kid had an autograph. I am a Vettel and Ferrari fan but I really respect Hamilton after that. 🏻🏻

I’m impressed by how Hamilton is able to be at a fashion show or basketball games and still come the next week and win the Chinese Grand Prix. Dude is living his life and people are hating on it amazing

I’m from the west coast and F1 isn’t SUPER popular over here and besides knowing that F1 drivers race the fastest cars, I didn’t know any drivers at all. Lewis Hamilton was the first name that I ever heard and many people I know for that matter. Don’t know enough about F1 still to have a huge opinion, but I can definitely say that him braking into the mainstream definitely brought a lot of new fans!

If he is losing his accent it is because he is everywhere and he doesn't live in the UK

This is the guy who as a child had to put up with a lot of racism. He used to have the fathers of other middle-class drivers tell him he should be serving their kids drinks or changing their tyres just because he is black.

I’d say he’s one of the most loved. He grew up with nothing and became one of the best drivers ever by his skill alone. Very very few drivers can say that.

The whole “Ee lad, learn your trade first!” argument is total tosh. Remember his time in GP2 and F3? Identical cars to the rest of the field? Destroyed the rest of the field, sometimes from the back of the grid? Oh yeah, he is clearly the best. Hamilton deserves his top drives in F1 and did so from the word go.

I'm sorry but I don't really know much about Lewis Hamilton's personal life, but on the track he's proved his god given talent, and the hard work he put's in every weekend. Nobody's as humble as him in victory, and he's the first to credit his engineers, and crew for his wins, and take responsibilities for his losses. I personally love Max Verstappen, but he's arrogant, not Lewis.

The best drivers get a seat in the best car, that’s just a fact. Lewis cut his teeth against alonso…and ruffled his feathers.

I only got into F1 because of Lewis Hamilton. He has captured the eyes of a whole new demographic at least in the states. He is the Jackie Robinson and Michael Jordan of Formula 1 racing! It's just incredible what he's been able to do in the sport. The man is blessed no doubt.
