Jesus Christ that Roz laughter was legitimately terrifying. I always pictured Roz coming out of the womb with a tenured engineering professorship and an inability to convey verbal tone, so him going full Joker on us then almost immediately returning to monotone was some truly Lynchian stuff.

Watching this in November 2024, Roz's "psychological break" moment is so deeply what I needed to hear in this moment.

You can't call it World Trade Center unless it comes from the World region of France. Otherwise it is just sparkling trade center.

My dad's friend was in the 2nd tower that got hit. He said that when they announced to head back upstairs, he was already halfway down the building, & decided to keep going cuz he was too lazy to go back up. He worked in one of the top floors - it saved his life

WTYPP is slowly but surely progressing towards the coveted 24-hour episode.

If I were the twin towers I would have simply not fallen down.

Imagine the bait and switch if you just called this episode "9/11" and you spent 3 hours talking about the damage to the presidential palace during the coup of Salvador Allende

The Citigroup building isn't quite the same scale as a potential WTC controlled demolition but it is still interesting to note that for those three months that there was virtually no other union welding done within hundreds of miles because all of them were in the Citigroup building 12-18 hours a day for three months. In the case of WTC, it wouldn't be the black suit ruling class with the skill and knowledge to rig a building to blow up it would be hundreds of blue collar workers or military demolitions experts. That's not a conspiracy that is compatible with basic logic let alone logistics.

Can't believe they skipped over the whole purpose of building the Twin Towers: to allow a Frenchman to tightrope walk across their roofs one morning.

"Robert Moses did 9/11" is the most on-brand thing I've heard on this show.
