I believe the smart raven deliberately flew to where the fox is, then attacked the osprey, that's why you see white osprey feathers on its beak when it comes back for the baby ospreys. The raven injured the mother osprey and the fox finished it off under the tree. Ravens are smart because they can pull moves like this.

It's funny how the other osprey just stares at his brother getting killed and then the raven is like you next and kills him.
