There is a big difference between slumping and recovering from surgery. He didn’t slump. He crushed a bomb, overly celebrated and wrecked his shoulder. People just talk for the sake of talking.

If the Jays are trying to stay within the Luxury Tax bracket, around where they were last season. Signing Bellinger would need a trade to happen. The player that seems most likely to fit is Kikuchi for prospects and sending Espinal away as well for prospects would be a good move to free up a spot for players like O. Martinez or Barger. Also gives the 5th starter roll to competition between B. Francis/ Rodriguez/ Tiedemann.
