gamester81 was such a fun police buzzkill. I could listen to pete and happy console gamer talk about FFXI for hours.

the underlying psychological reasons for playing and continuing to do so despite of real life taking a black eye because of it is that it makes you feel powerful, gives you rewards(dopamine is a key neurotransmittor for giving you this) and in real life, there is no equivalent stimuli that gives the reinforcing feelings mmo´s give. Im actually feeling this with Guild Wars 2 right now, never been hooked to mmo´s.still Ill continue playing this..

i feel the first question dude...sometimes i see a game that i think i MIGHT be interested in but then i think "why? i can do all that in ffxiv PLUS a million things more...pass". once you get into an mmo , everything else seems pointless

I can say I've watched each of ur reviews of 11 and I must say I agree with u 100% if not more about how addicted I was to that game hygene, eating habits , daily choirs were a thing of the past with me I juss came back and quit again cause the content is too much to keep up with and the team commrodery is not there anymore but yes I'm the same boat there's no game that will feel that void compared to 11
