Im new to this so bare with me. So cv is getting sent to vcc, im assuming without the battery. So when notes are played the device is powered. So by giving vcc the 1-5v range it can play the octaves? But gate to ground is confusing me. I was under the impression gate and pitch are somewhat one because of the ribbon. Im just wondering does this take that into account. Any help would be appreciated!

Nice placement of the cv jack. Why to does one cable go to VCC and not to ground?
