Back in 1968, I had proposed then what I would name as a "braille-board"! The mechanism then would have required micro-solenoids that would popup spring loaded pins in response to the presence of data, and which would simply be pushed down by the loaded spring when no data.

Great work for a great cause. It's important to keep the visually impaired in the loop of technology.

That is pretty impressive. I want to know when this might be available and what carriers are going to charge WAY too much for it.

The highlights function could be amazing with something like google glass where the emotions of the person you're talking to could be felt in realtime.
