I’m 13 and I like cooking and yesterday I made a whole ham, homemade pasta salad, baked potatoes, and cornbread... I’m definitely going to try this tonight!

Made this for dinner last night. I didn't have Luck's pinto beans or the crream of mushroom soup. I used jalapeno ranch beans and cream of chicken soup instead and this casseerole was a big hit. My grown up sons ate the whole casserole and were very vocal about how great it tasted. Lots of compliments and requests to save the recipe. Thanks!!!

I made this for second time, Let me tell ya, it was Mighty Fine! I'm spoiled now, all other hamburger/ potato casserole pale in comparison. Plus, how can you not love his commentary!

I made it and it is delicious! I had to make some alternatives in it however: 1)Even though Im not a big bean person I used a regular can of beans that didnt have pork in it and added a maple smokehouse seasoning to the beans and simmered it first to get that pork flavor. I didnt think it would be good with the beans but it is and it works in this. 2) I couldnt find the cream of mushroom soup with garlic so I used a regular can of cream of mushroom and then added my own homemade powdered garlic from my garden to make up for it. 3) I used turkey hamburger instead of beef. He didnt say what kind of cheese so I used 2 different ones. Thanks for the recipe!

I’ve been making this dish since I was (at least) 13, it’s one of the first things my mama taught me to cook!!! I also taught my daughters how to make it, a very good Alabama meal!

My Mom made this when I was growing up. She never put beans it. She called it Pay Day casserole because it was cheap to make and feeds a big family. I still make it. It is so good.

I tried this yesterday, but didn't add beans due to my better half does not care for beans. This was was darn delicious. Excuse my language . I enjoyed this so much. My husband took 2 more helpings for the next day and I stole one back. I didn't have any for lunch. I'm going to make this again this weekend. This dish will make you say, Amen! The only mistake I made was not making enough.
