We are a couple that retired in our 50's and started checking places off our bucket list. Leaving the US allowed us to retire years before we ever imagined.
In our first 2 and a half years, we slow traveled 15 cities in 9 countries; fast traveled several more countries; and even spent a year in Portugal after getting a residency visa. What we have learned is that no one speed is perfect. Some places need more time.
