I just had a realization and that seems to be the only way that the manual's instructions are not weird: Either you do the soap water cleaning method or the brush method. Oiling is only mentioned for the former, but since soap degreases that would mean that re-oiling would have to happen after every cleaning. Very tedious to have an allegedly smoother shaving experience and maybe a bit more battery and foil life due to less friction. The brush method seems much more feasible: Hair cuttings will be dry not oily (provided you only shave a freshly washed face) and thus very easy to clean. - If you oil the shaver, brush cleaning is out of the question or you'll get clumps of oily hair cuttings into the brush.

I usually wet shave with my Braun Series 3 electric shaver. Immediately wet shaving after oiling my electric shaver won’t be an issue right?

Thanks for the vid, btw what about washing the shaver, I've seen people use just normal hand soap and running under water while switched on but im cautious of what saop to use ‍️

Ibe just bought 3 tubs of machine oil from boyes it's only a £1.00 or so and each tubs 3 times the sizof what we got free with these arc 5 machine by the way thanks for telling me to give it a few days and get use to my new arc 5 ime eating humble pie caus I like it now. Sorry for calling it crap

I have a Babyliss Pro shaver. When I drop the oil on the blade it doesn't spread around, it just stays in that spot.
