This theme always makes me want to weep. Especially the crescendo. Every time I hear it, it rekindles my faith in the nobility of the scientific enterprise. A celebration of the human spirit. An ode to the universe.

I think it’s my favorite of all the themes … I watched this series with this theme song many nights , while I studied science at university. The theme song made me feel the struggle of humanity and how scientist of all kinds from all ranks have and will help in that struggle.
