Nice work so far. I have a friend who wants to build a 350-scale wood model of the Vasa, but he says it's going to be insanely enormous! I don't know if he'll ever do it!

Building the same kit myself. I agree it is a beautiful model. The fine sculptural detail is better than the new Revell kit. There are some problem areas though. Airfix provide no rail at the forward end of the deck. There is no straightforward way to attach the shrouds to the tops. The rear deck is too narrow and the angle of the transom does not match the hull sides.

A pity about the base. You are another Airfix victim. Nevertheless, you have made a great job of the hull and paintwork.
