Lee is the consummate musician. Not only one of the best Bassists around but a true person who values other's contributions as much as his own. Watching the original Troubadour reunion show, this became very evident, as he alluded to in this interview.

Heard Leland with Lyle Lovett last July at Belly Up in San Diego. He is still a master and Lyle's show was just as focused and joyous as always. Leland was gracious to me during a chat outside the venue. They say never meet your heroes but this was a great experience. I wish he and Russ were playing with J.T. whose Vegas show was sad to say, sub par. But artists have to deal with the
