When to the wrecking yard to pick up some rocker arms how to i know if their bad? Or good?? Found a set that had no play on them when installed but when i took them off the head the little plunger on the rocker are very stiff. Is that normal?

that lifter noise is from wrong oil weight. it needs a 5w20 oil or it ticks.
