0:19 That's actually the most honorable thing I've ever seen and heard. Metal Sonic was given a chance to escape and survive,but instead he sacrifices himself so that Sonic wouldn't get hurt. Even stating that "There is only one Sonic" means that he accepts that he's not the real Sonic and is making sure the real one survives by denying his help. That's very honorable of him.

The OVA's take on Metal Sonic is probably my favorite version of him. The "life data" Robotnik gave him did help him match Sonic in every single way, both physically and mentally. It was only when Tails managed to override him for a bit was when the hard coding was broken, allowing Metal to freely think.

"There's only one sonic..."

Metal was an amazing antagonist, but in the end he was enough like Sonic that his sworn enemy wanted him to live.

This is a legendary moment in sonic's history, even if it wasn't in the games this moment gave a great example of what metal is supposed to be.

Sonic: "METAL NOOOO!"

The fact that sonic tried to save him but failed then screamed out made me tear up a little in the OVA.

“There is only one sonic.”

I’m crying… I love Metal Sonic, even if he is an enemy. He may be a robot, but he knows more about being human than many others enemies in Sonic universe.

The movie was much darker. His voice was malfunctioning from the heat and excruciating pain. (Metal sonic can feel pain unlike most robots) in sonic heroes he Howls in agony when you piece his core. His distorted and tortured exclamation was much more accurate. And not to mention you literally see his leg stumps bleed oil and pieces of his face falling off. And his entire body turns red hot and liquefies as he lays there unimaginable torment.

When metal said THERE IS ONLY ONE SONIC I thought he would betray him and throw him in the lava

That's very true..sonic is the only one who can save the world but sadly he can't save metal sonic.

I like how this is a modern version of the OVA, witch adds a question of what if the movie was made nowadays
