I would be a lot more worried about crazy humans than bears
austinhuff283 (9 minutes ago)
Missouri only has a small number of black bears. You have no reason to worry about that. Also, I grew up in the Mark Twain National Forest.

Spam, rice, and an over easy egg is the bomb.

We don't have to worry about hurricane weather in Missouri. We worry about tornadoes! SW Missouri here.

I wouldn't worry too much about Bears in Missouri.

You have about the same odds of winning powerball as seeing a wild Missouri bear.

Great instincts. Just don't scare yourself away from everything. Keep a reasonably diligent mindset, stay safe, and have fun out there. I so badly wish I could turn back the clock and do what you're doing.

That's funny. You reminded me of how I wear sunglasses over my regular prescription glasses when I don't have prescription sunglasses

That was so funny when you said you ate to spam that fell on the ground! I used to work with film in a darkroom lit only with a dim red light and one time I was eating peanut M&Ms and I noticed an ant on my hand. I brushed it off and ate another handful of M&Ms only to find more ants on my hand. I looked in the box and it was loaded with ants! Who knows how many I ate! I didn’t taste them.

I would have been more worried about that creepy house you camped next to than any bears.

Missouri is a beautiful place to camp and see the sights.

I'm so happy you decided to visit some places in Missouri. So many people just consider it "flyover country" and not worth visiting, but it's a wonderful state that is quite beautiful with many interesting places to visit.

Raccoons and skunks are more likely to invade your camp than a black bear in Mo.
