It's a great world when I can watch a Harvard lecture from 1996 on YouTube. At the time I was in third grade.

Damn.... Peterson made it his life mission to discover why Humans do evil things so we can see the signs in advance. Having a full understanding of what's going on, it must be infuriating to see these mechanics working their way back into our cultures.

He's been studying this stuff for a long time.

So basically is he saying that, why are we always saying the Nazis did this or that, when it should really be, why did humans do that? Because devoiding say the nazis of their humanity in their description makes us think they’re something else and they’re separate to us and they did it, something so bad, is because they’re not us, but they really are and that’s the dangerous bit; not realising it’s actually us, all of us, are capable of doing so?

This is the weirdest Seinfeld episode I've ever seen.

My god its beautiful to see this. I had no idea his early lectures might be recorded or thought to look. His brain has been free-flowing brilliance for a ver long time. What a gift.

Back in 1996, people were still allowed to say stuff like this without getting cancelled.

The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.

He's gotten much better at those little drift-off moments of explanation. Now when he drifts off into explanation he quotes scientific literature to the letter and so much more clearer! Phenomanal man!

This guy is ridiculously smart. I wish I could have been one of his students when he taught.
